Amaya (Maya) McDuffie (she/her) is a multimedia artist, writer, and student living New York City, via Philadelphia. She is currently a Senior at New York University, where she double majors in Journalism and History
and minors in Integrated Design and Media at NYU’s Tandon School of Engineering.

Drawing on her multidisciplinary training, her work spans mediums and styles. Her written work has appeared in various publications, and her audio work has been featured across multiple film projects. 

While at NYU, she has served as an undergraduate research fellow on three separate projects, successfully organized and ran events for NYU’s Department of History, is a member of the College of Arts and Science’s Presidential Honors Scholars cohort, as well as The Grey Art Museum’s Student Friends Committee.

Her primary interests include cultural and broadcast journalism, as well as sound design and audio engineering.
